HOW TO SUPERCHARGE YOUR BUSINESS WITH COACHING
Hey everyone, today I want to speak to you all about some exciting changes that are on the way for Branding by Nicki (or should I say B br Nicki), in the New Year. Why am I so excited? Well, because my new venture is focussed all around helping people. And ever since I was small, that is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve just had this desire and drive to help people, and now, through coaching (yep, you guessed it) I’ll get to do just that. That’s why, today I want to talk to you all about how to supercharge your business with coaching.
So, back to the news for 2019. Now, the fact I’m doing what I’ve always wanted is great for me, but what about you? Well it’s even better for you guys. Why? Because I’m on a mission to help you take your business to the next level and get you where you want to be. As you know, I’ve been right where you are, twice. And by investing in myself, and in turn my businesses through coaching I transformed them and grew them, fast. Now I want to help you do the same.
But for now, because I always love to be super-honest with you guys, what I want to do is talk to you all about some of the things I’ve learned along the way, and the elements of coaching that have benefited me the most on my journey so far.
INVEST IN YOU
Now, as you all know, I’ve launched two businesses now, so I completely understand the level of investment required to start turning that idea into a successful business. I’ve been there, I’ve done it (I didn’t make any t-shirts though) and I believe that you need that strong foundation to hit the ground running. But don’t ever neglect yourself.
Why? Because as I’ve said many times before, you are your brand, and therefore your business. You represent it every day, whether that’s through a social post, a Facebook Live or a face-to-face chat. It’s your vision, and at the end of the day, you are what makes it successful. So, why would you not invest in yourself?
Find ways to grow, evolve and learn. Look for those fresh perspectives and objective opinions. Often, when we’re so deeply invested in something, we become too ‘in it.’ We focus on handling all the day-to-day bits, which ultimately means we’re too immersed to see the big picture. So when you speak to someone who has that vision, they can see exactly what you need to do to kick on. Coaching did that for me, and trust me, if you can keep developing your skills along your journey, your business will follow.
DEFINE A KICK-ASS STRATEGY
This is the key to (almost) everything. Why? Because it can unlock all the other elements of your business. It makes your hard work, and your brand wayyyyyyy more efficient and effective. How? Because you have a plan and a framework to get exactly where you want to be. I mean, as entrepreneurs, what more do we want?
It sounds daunting, but honestly once you start to get into it, it isn’t. And anyway this is where a coach comes in. It’s about looking at the bigger picture and channeling your energy and efforts in certain ways. And trust me, if you’re anything like me, the moment I locked my strategy in I saw everything so much clearer. I’d always had an idea of where I wanted to get to. And where I saw my business in the future. But now I had something actionable to work towards. And most importantly, I knew EXACTLY what I needed to do to make it happen. Winner.
MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
No, you don’t need to stop reading! What coaching does do, or did do for me anyway is get me thinking about your mindset. Specifically your positivity, go get ‘em attitude and infectious passion. There’s no more can do or could do. There is only will do, or done. And this relates back to your strategy. Because if you have a super-actionable plan to follow, then you won’t be running around trying to do everything, which is great. Because when you try to do that, to be honest you end up getting nowhere.
Beyond channeling a positive mindset, coaching can also help you get past any blocks you might have. At the end of the day, the only real limit is you. And if you’re anything like me, and coaching helps you get past those blocks, there will be nothing holding you back.
Get the mindset right and you’ll push, hustle and demand more. You’ll get more visible, which in turn will make you more well known. Being well known will grow your audience. And a bigger audience means more people to sell to. Annnnnd as we all know, the more people you can sell to, the more orders you make and the bigger the rewards.
Obviously, it’s not all that simple. But one of the great things that I’ve found through my coaching journey is that not all the changes you make have to be massively dramatic. I tweak here, a switch of focus there and everything can click into place. Once that happens, you get a snowball effect of success, which is what we all want, right?
JUST THE START
So, one of the biggest things about your journey as an entrepreneur is that there is no finish line. You can’t expect everything to be solved forever when you launch. All the work you do before then, and that moment is just the start. You have to go beyond. Adapt your strategy. Evolve your plans. Scale up and develop. That is the only way you get to the next level.
But, I also think it’s super-important to consider that a single coaching package may not be enough for you either. As you know, I always try to be 100% honest with you guys, and I can tell you that when I first invested in a coach I was adamant, adamant, that I was only going to stick to the package I bought. I had a budget, and I wanted to stick to it.
However, what I found was that it wasn’t enough. I mean it just wasn’t. Simple as that. I knew I needed that ongoing accountability. I knew I needed those objective opinions to keep me locked on my single-minded purpose. I knew I needed it to help me get where I wanted to be. But more than all of that, what I noticed was the results. It start to pay off for me almost immediately. Now I know that doesn’t always happen, but what I quickly realised was that the investment was bringing in way more business than before. And that’s how you scale. That’s how you supercharge your business. So I kept on doing it. I had a plan, I had targets, I worked hard, like really hard and I smashed them all inside 8 months.
So there you have my thoughts on how to accelerate your business with coaching. What I really want to stress before I leave you to get on with your day is that this is how it helped me. This is how my business, and my life benefited from coaching.
Why am I telling you that? Well because there’s no one-stop shop when it comes to this. No brands are the same. No businesses are the same. And if we’re being really honest no entrepreneurs are the same either. Everyone of us is unique. Which is great, and one of the things I love about my job. But it also means that different things work for different people, so you have to find a strategy and mindset that works for you and your ideal client.
What you need to do before investing, because with your other commitments it is a sizeable investment a lot of the time, is find someone you get on with, who gets you and your business. But not only that, find someone who wants to take the time to tailor something to you, and go above and beyond to make your goals a reality.
Find that, and coaching will change your life I’m sure of it. Good luck.
