Hey there, I’m back with part two of my tips on ‘How to turn your business launch into a launch pad for success.’ But before we get into all of the fresh tips, let’s have a quick refresh of part one.

So the other day was all about pre-launch, and building that all important hype. From setting a launch date, to teasing content, researching Facebook groups to build your network, targeting influencers and making a statement with a launch event, nailing all of those things will take you right up to launch day itself.

Now it’s all about using that momentum to create noise and buzz around your launch, and then maintain that energy to drive your business forward and make it happen. Let’s get into it.

STEP 2 – THE BIG DAY

So, it’s finally time. All that prep, all that hype and this is it, the moment you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to tell the world. Honestly, as an entrepreneur the buzz around this moment is incredible, and as a branding designer I get that same feeling with each of my clients – I just love it.

But let’s take a moment and wind the clock back 24 hours. The day before launch. Now this time is final check time. The day before HAS to be all about making sure the finishing touches are on point and it’s all ready to go, at the touch of a button.

It’s also important to use the final 24 hours to remind the following you’ve built during the hype stage that you’re ready to launch. Whether that’s a simple social post, an email if you have a mailing list, a Facebook live video or an IG story – this is the perfect time to ramp up the excitement.

I wrote a recent blog all about how to be visible, which could massively help you out at this stage…

Fast forward back to the day itself. Consider when your ideal client will be most likely to be online. You may have some data based on the likes you’re already getting in your analytics but if not, don’t be afraid to ask in some of the groups I mentioned earlier. Riding the wave of engagement is vital when it comes to getting that engagement and building the early momentum.

Then, sit back, hit the button and do your thing. Always remember why you’re doing it, and be confident in your idea, the work you’ve done and your mission for the future. With those foundations, and that platform in place you’ll be off to a strong start.

STEP 3 – MAINTAIN THE ENERGY

Once you’ve got the launch out of the way, and you’ve absolutely nailed it – obvs, it’s time to focus on the day to day running of your business. And key to that is maintaining the same energy and consistency across every touch point of your brand. You simply won’t be successful if you take your foot off the pedal and don’t build on that momentum.

Now speaking of opinions, one of the easiest ways to boost web traffic, and improve that all important SEO is by blogging. I wrote a blog about this too https://www.iamnickijames.co.uk/5-ways-your-blog-can-boost-your-seo/ and it’s super important to give your ideal client relevant, useful and helpful information. Not only will you position yourself as an expert, they’ll see you as a great source of knowledge and inspiration, which is key to building that know, like, trust factor and converting followers into clients. You can also turn your blogs into weekly newsletters, creating another touchpoint for engagement with your clients.

So just before tip #10, or top tip #10 should I say, I referenced the know, like, trust factor. And that is so important to building a successful brand. Now one of the best ways to do this, is by creating connections with your ideal client. In the modern world, where social media is full of images, messaging and offers, not to mention algorithms, you need to find a way to cut through the noise. And one of the best ways to do that is using live video.

So there you have it, my top tips for turning your business launch into a launch pad for success. The key thing to remember is that this is a journey and your launch day is the culmination of a lot of work, and it will be amazing, but at the same time, it’s only the start. It’s the start of the rest of your life, and I know that you’re going to smash it.
