Hello there. I hope you’re having another big week. And more importantly a successful one. I always think now is a great time to really switch on and focus. I don’t buy the idea of sitting back and relaxing. Maybe it’s just me, but I see this time as a massive opportunity. I mean, think about it. Imagine all the people out there looking back at what they’ve achieved this year. They’re winding down, putting their feet up with a glass of mulled wine. But you, you can be gearing up for 2019. You can be planning what’s next. Getting ahead. Preparing to start the year with a bang, rather than starting slow and not getting going until February. Now, as some of you may know (if you read this blog often – I hope you do!) I’ve got big plans for next year. Big plans. And those plans are coming together as I type. In fact, those plans inspired this very post, all about the power of your brand.

So as I touched on above, I’ve mentioned these plans, and the changes across a few touch points already. Maybe not all 21, yet. But a few. And we’ll get to the rest soon! Anyway, back to what’s going on next year. I’ve always had this desire and drive to help people. It started through branding, but next year I’m taking it up a gear. Evolving what I do. So I’m going to be (drum roll please), coaching people in the creative and wedding industries. My mission is to help them, and by them I mean YOU, get where they you to be. Helping you make it happen. I’m so excited. And do you know what, because I always want to be honest with you guys, I’ve already started. I worked with my first client this week. EEEEEEEEEKKK! It went well. And it felt great. It felt right, and it’s made me even more excited than I thought I was. However, this doesn’t mean I’m leaving brand styling behind. I just can’t do it. Why? Well, let me tell you.


I will always, always, always believe this. In terms of achieving success it is so, so important. It is the bones of every business. The glue that holds everything together. And creating a successful brand, which stands out and grabs someone’s ideal client is something that I will always love to do.

From engaging an audience to building a reputation, the brand your branding brings to life is what creates that know like and trust factor. It’s what people say about you when you’re not in the room. And if it’s not on-point, then you’re not going to make it happen. Fact.

I’m super-passionate about all of the branding projects I’ve worked on, and it’s one of the reasons why I go above and beyond for my clients. It’s a real journey that we go on together, and seeing people experience that, then launch, is one of the best things about my job.



That’s right. You amazing people are one of the main reasons I could never leave branding behind. Why? Because I love to help people. And as a designer, I know that one of the best ways I can put that passion into action is through building brand.

I’ve been there and done it for myself. Twice. So I know what it takes to launch businesses. But I also know how to get the brand right so you reach that perfect audience, in order to grow fast and get where you want to be.

Since I launched Branding by Nicki I’ve met and worked with so many inspirational people. People with incredible stories who motivate me every single day. People who make me want to go further to deliver a brand that they’re proud to represent 24/7. You get to know their story, their businesses and their goals, so helping them bring all of that to life is a brilliant thing to do.

No-one is the same. And no business is the same. So there is no one size fits all solution. Nothing ‘off-the-shelf.’ It’s a challenge every day, but as most of you know, that’s one of the reasons I left my 9-5. The challenge wasn’t there. I had lots of jobs, but never found the job. Until I took the plunge and went for it. Now? Now I love it. I can not get enough.


One of the key things that made me want to get into coaching is the impact it had on me when I started. I made the investment in myself, and my business, and I noticed the difference almost immediately. Like straightaway.

Why? Because I believe that if you want a truly successful business you need everything on-point. And I mean everything. Not just a unique brand. Not just consistency across every element of your branding. Not even working all hours and bringing the energy every time you go live. On their own these things aren’t enough. You need them all, and then some.

I’m talking about a kick-ass strategy. A positive mindset. The confidence to trust your instincts. And each one of those unlocks the other. Sometimes it can just be the odd tweak or finding a way to refocus your energy. Other times it may be a block that you need to work through, or maybe something else entirely. But the moment it all starts to click, you’ll know.

Everything will get more effective. You’ll be more efficient. You’ll reach more people, and crucially confirm more orders. You will see a snowball effect of success. And most importantly of all, you’ll get where you want to be. FAST.

So there you go. That is why I can’t leave branding behind. It’s where I started, it’s something I love and crucially, it’s essential for success. It goes hand in hand with the business side of things, and it stretches beyond the launch, because your brand will live forever. And it’s something that, as entrepreneurs, we all live and breathe. Why? Because, and as you know I can’t write a blog without saying this, I am, YOU are, WE are our brands. All day, every day. And personally, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Yes, there will be changes. But a lot of things, like my passion to help people build their brand are simply not going anywhere. I’ve got so much more to give, and I’m only just starting this mission. 2019 is going to be a big year. Watch this space.
